We also semi polish the metal surfaces prior to construction to remove fold indents \u0026amp; to give a smooth surface for a uniform paint finish without pitting.\u0026lt;\/p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;The Titan recovery point is unlike conventional Defender recovery points as it has 7 mounting points for extreme strength on two faces of the crossmember. Normal recovery points only have 4-6 mounting points on the front face only. This isn't strong enough if you create a lot of vertical pulling force during recovery. Combined with using an incorrect design of bolt, such as button head or socket head cap bolts, cheap recovery points if used for purpose will either sheer and snap off or deform your cross member. Shanked Hex Head bolts are the only correct fasteners to use as they have a superior sheer \u0026amp; clamping strength.\u0026lt;\/p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;We plate prep the tow eye before welding and TIG weld both sides of the main mounting plate for extreme strength. (These are not single welds only on one side).\u0026lt;\/p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;We supply BUMAX stainless steel fixings as Bumax make the strongest stainless steel fasteners in the world. These are extremely hi-tensile bolts that are above the standard A4-80 Hi tensile threshold in the general market. Bumax bolts are cold worked and quenched to achieve a higher shear strength than any other stainless steel fasteners on the market. Additionally, they are high quality 316L Grade. \u0026lt;\/p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;Included is a WARN epic shackle with a capacity of 8 tonnes pulling force. \u0026lt;\/p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;We have made our own HD rubber washers to fit inside the shackle between the pin and the body. This means that the shackle does not swing when driving and also reduces rubbing during operational movement.
